SoB at the #SpiritOfBromley Event

SoB at the #SpiritOfBromley Event

On Monday 6th October, Survivors Of aBuse (SoB) was proud to take part in the Bromley Children & Families Voluntary Sector Forum’s #SpiritOfBromley event, held to celebrate and connect local organisations working to make a difference across the borough.

Our Founder & CEO Chris Tuck represented SoB, joined by Shanna Jarvis — the event organiser from BCFF (Bromley Children & Families Forum) — and The Mayor of Bromley, Councillor Jonathan Andrews.

It was wonderful to meet the Mayor again for the second time this year, and to share the progress we’re making through our trauma-informed education, group support, and advocacy work.

The afternoon provided a great opportunity to raise awareness of the impact of abuse and trauma, to connect with fellow charities, and to speak with local young mums about how early experiences can shape mental health and wellbeing later in life.

Events like this remind us how vital it is to keep the conversation going — building stronger, trauma-informed communities where everyone feels seen, supported, and safe.
