The SOB C.L.E.A.N.E.R.™ Living Therapy Programme is a structured psycho-educational course, delivered face to face, to a group of individuals who have been victims of abuse and who are working through the trauma impact of the abuse.

The SOB 8-week course takes a holistic approach to empower the group to heal and move forward. The programme recognises that trauma affects both mind and body, and recovery benefits from integrated emotional, physical and practical support.

Each course has a maximum of 10 participants to ensure safety, support, and appropriate facilitation.

Courses are delivered by an experienced qualified lived expereince lead facilitator alongside a qualified counsellor.

Each course clearly states its group composition for transparency.

Sessions are paced carefully. Participants are encouraged to engage in a way that feels manageable for them. Sharing personal experiences is never required.

Across the 8 weeks, the programme provides 28 hours of in-person education, awareness-raising, mentoring and peer support.

Group Size and Safety

Each course is delivered in a small group setting to support containment, safety, and appropriate facilitation throughout the programme.

The group environment is structured and professionally held, with clear boundaries in place. This helps to reduce overwhelm, support emotional regulation, and allow participants to focus on learning and recovery.

The programme is not a group therapy or counselling space. It does not involve sharing personal details of abuse. A qualified counsellor is present throughout the course to provide grounding and emotional support if required.

Cost and Deposit

The full cost of delivering the C.L.E.A.N.E.R™ Living Therapy Programme is £650 per participant. This reflects the length of the programme, professional facilitation, counselling support, venue hire, materials, and safeguarding oversight.

The programme is heavily subsidised through funding and donations, enabling participants to access the course at a significantly reduced cost.

To secure a place on the programme, applicants are required to pay a £25 fully refundable deposit.

The DEPOSIT helps to:

  • confirm commitment to attending the full programme

  • manage limited places fairly

  • reduce late withdrawals that can prevent others from accessing a place

The £25 deposit is refunded in full:

  • within 7 days of successfully completing the course, or

  • if a place is not offered following the application review

In exceptional circumstances where a participant is unable to complete the course, refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Places cannot be held without payment of the deposit.

The PayPal deposit payment link is provided at Step 5 of the application process.

Deposit as a barrier

If paying the £25 deposit is a barrier, this can be indicated on the application form.

We will be notified and will contact you confidentially to discuss this.

SUMMARY: How the process works
