Celebrating 1840 Lawn Care – Our New Gold Corporate Sponsor
At Survivors Of aBuse, we are delighted to welcome Mike Taylor of 1840 Lawn Care as a Corporate Sponsor. Mike has generously donated £1,500, which will directly support the delivery of our 8-week recovery and empowerment course, ensuring participants gain confidence and opportunities to build a brighter future.
Mike shared, “I’ve been looking to support a charity for a couple of years but hadn’t found one that really resonated with me. Then I met Chris at a networking group and with a baby on the way it all seemed to fall into place choosing to support S.O.B.”
About 1840 Lawn Care
Based in Croydon, Mike studied turfgrass science at degree level and built-up years of experience in the turf industry, working at a golf course and for a private estate before starting 1840 Lawn Care in 2019. His vision was to bring the specialist knowledge and high-end expertise from large-scale projects into people’s own gardens at home.
Today, 1840 Lawn Care supports clients across Croydon and surrounding areas with professional lawn care services tailored to help customers achieve healthy, beautiful lawns.
And the name? It’s inspired by history: in 1830, Edwin Budding invented the lawn mower, making well-kept lawns accessible beyond the wealthy landowners of the 17th century. By the 1840s, lawns became fashionable worldwide — and that story inspired the name 1840 Lawn Care.
