💥Breaking the Cycle™ Achieves CPD Accreditation💥

We are proud to announce that the Breaking the Cycle™ programme, delivered by Survivors Of aBuse, is now officially CPD accredited.

This milestone represents years of dedication, development, and delivery — combining research, professional insight and lived experience to create a programme that supports meaningful recovery.

What This Means
CPD accreditation recognises that Breaking the Cycle™ is a structured learning programme that meets recognised standards for professional development.

It confirms that the programme:
• delivers clear learning outcomes
• is grounded in informed practice
• supports reflection and behavioural change
• provides meaningful educational value

A Psychoeducational Approach to Recovery

Breaking the Cycle™ is not a support group.

It is a trauma-informed psychoeducational programme that helps participants understand:

  • how trauma impacts the brain and body
  • the link between stress, behaviour, and health
  • patterns such as emotional eating and coping strategies
  • how lifestyle, nutrition, and nervous system regulation influence recovery

Participants are supported to move from awareness to action, developing practical tools to support their wellbeing.

Survivors of abuse often face long-term impacts that are not always fully understood.

By providing structured, accessible education, Breaking the Cycle™ helps individuals to:

  • make sense of their experiences
  • rebuild self-trust
  • develop sustainable lifestyle changes
  • improve overall wellbeing

This approach bridges the gap between understanding and real-life application.

Looking Ahead

This accreditation is not the end point — it is a foundation for growth. It strengthens our ability to:

  • partner with organisations and professionals
  • expand delivery of the programme
  • train facilitators
  • influence practice and policy

At Survivors Of aBuse, we remain committed to our mission:

There is love, life and laughter after abuse.

Rebuilding you piece by piece.

Empowering futures.
