πŸ’™ Murder Mystery Fundraiser Brings Laughter, Community & Β£850 for Survivors πŸ’™

What a night!

On Friday 24th October, Survivors Of aBuse (SoB) hosted our very first Murder Mystery Evening β€” and it was a roaring success!

The event was led by Tom Coombs of TWC Locksmiths, who not only downloaded and adapted the entire script but brought the story to life with humour, confidence, and heart. His energy had the whole room laughing, guessing, and fully immersed in the mystery.

With 60 guests attending, delicious food from I-Naga Restaurant, a buzzing raffle table, and plenty of laughter, the evening raised an incredible Β£850 to support adult survivors of childhood abuse through our Breaking the Cycle – C.L.E.A.N.E.R.β„’ Living Therapy Programme.

This event forms part of our Β£75,000 #DoIt4Survivors Fundraising Campaign, which runs throughout 2025–26 to help SoB expand our reach and deliver life-changing programmes to more survivors across the UK.

Tom’s dedication went far beyond the evening itself β€” he spent hours preparing beforehand and has already offered to host future events for SoB. We’re proud to recognise him as a true SoB Ambassador and a shining example of giving back through community, compassion, and action.

β€œHe gave his time, his skill, his art,
Prepared with care and led with heart.
And like his trade, he helps reveal
That locks can turn, and wounds can heal.”

πŸ’™ Thank you, Tom, for your kindness, humour, and unwavering support. You are a kind spirit indeed.

A huge thank you as well to everyone who attended, bought raffle tickets, and joined in the fun. Together, you’ve helped unlock hope and healing for survivors.
